1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file that may be stored on the user's device (computer, mobile or tablet) when visiting https://savvy-career.com.

Cookies may help provide efficient navigation, secure access to certain features, remember preferences, or improve user experience.

Savvy Careers Lab acts as a Licensed Private Placement Agency (OPAP) and processes personal data in strict compliance with Algerian Law No. 18-07.

2. Cookies used on the site

Savvy Careers Lab uses four categories of cookies. In compliance with Law 18-07, only essential cookies are placed without prior consent.

2.1 Essential cookies, always active

Required for site operation: secure authentication, dashboard access, session management, fraud prevention. These cookies do not require consent as they are strictly necessary for the service requested by the user.

2.2 Functional cookies, consent required

Used to remember preferences (language, display) or enable additional features (social sharing, chat). Activated only with the explicit consent of the user.

2.3 Analytics cookies, consent required

Help understand site usage, measure audience, and identify popular pages. Data is aggregated and anonymized. No analytics tool is currently active; this category will only be enabled with the prior consent of the user if such a tool is integrated.

2.4 Advertising cookies, consent required

Used to display personalized ads or measure ad campaigns. No advertising cookies are currently used. If this changes, this policy will be updated and the prior consent of the user will always be required.

3. Third-party services used

For transparency (Art. 32 of Law 18-07), Savvy Careers Lab lists here all third-party services that may place cookies or process technical information through the site:

• Savvy consent manager (developed and hosted by Savvy Careers Lab). Category: essential. Sets the savvy_consent cookie (duration: 13 months). No data transferred outside Algeria.
• Savvy anti-bot protection (developed and hosted by Savvy Careers Lab) for forms. No tracking cookie is set and no third-party service is involved.
• OpenStreetMap (United Kingdom), interactive map provider via the open-source Leaflet library. No cookies are set; only the IP address is transmitted to serve tile images.
• Hosting provider, site availability and server logs retained for security purposes.

No third-party tracking service (Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight, TikTok, Hotjar, etc.) is integrated on the site at this time.

4. Consent management

On the first visit to the site, a consent banner allows the user to freely configure their choices. The user may accept, refuse (with equal ease), or customize category by category.

In accordance with Article 7 of Law 18-07, the consent of the data subject must be free, informed, specific, and unambiguous. No non-essential cookies are placed without such agreement. Consent may be withdrawn at any time using the "Manage cookies" link at the bottom of every page.

5. Retention period

In accordance with the storage limitation principle (Law 18-07, Art. 9):

• Essential cookies: session duration or up to 1 year maximum for preference cookies (e.g., savvy_consent, 13 months).
• Consent-based cookies: maximum duration of thirteen (13) months, in line with international best practices.
• Consent logs: kept for 5 years for evidentiary purposes in case of an ANPDP audit.

Upon expiry of these periods, the consent of the user will be requested again.
